I find this really touching. I've seen a movie about this woman and her puppet friend Bouton showing how she really lives with him in her daily life, filmed at the period where she is suffering from cancer he is cheering her up by being "too dumb to play along the rules". It often doesn't help a suffering person to try to be polite and all that. And like this she is actually cheering up herself, when you're able to do that it's a very powerful gift. When you're an adult there's no hospital clown visiting you (why not actually?), and besides that, hospital clowns are not always around when you need 'em. It may not be such a bad idea to have this kind of dialogue with you're own sunny idiot inside when you need it and make yourself laugh at yourself. Might be crazy, might be not. I already made myself a hand puppet ;-)
