A woman enters the stage through the black curtains. She almost lets the
curtain frame drop, puts it back in place, while carrying her stuff, being a
hula-hoop, a carpet and maybe something else, I don’t know. She wears a green,
old-fashioned, dress and her hair is like the typical girl-nerd we know from
television. She waves at the audience in a quasi-insecure fashion, and then
puts down her hula-hoop. Now I can see what the something else was: a red shiny
ladies bag, she puts it aside. Then she arranges her red, round, carpet in a
way that reminds me of a pick nick, although the sight of it gives more the
impression of circus. She walks round it, corrects it, walks further round it
and grabs her hula-hoop. She turns a few times right and left as if to decide
what she’ll do now. Then she rolls the hula-hoop over the ground, around the
round by using her hand. Some people start clapping, but they stop again. At
the beginning of her next round she raises her hand, which the audience takes
as a sign to start clapping now all together in a circus fashion. She keeps her
hand high. Then she enters the carpet, stretching her arm a little bit to the
side, which the audience takes as a sign to start applauding. She starts waving
her hand quickly. She holds the hula-hoop with two hands before her, then with
one hand, then with the other, one, the other, few times. The free hand makes a
sign with one finger raised. Then she drops the hula-hoop, claps, and catches
it again. Applause. Waving quickly. Then she starts directing the audience as
to clap when the hula-hoop bounces, then making it bounce quicker and quicker
as to make the audience applause. Then she hoops with her tummy, audience makes
“whoooooo”, probably because she makes such pleasured faces. Then she shows off
with some extra tricks, using her arms as an airplane/bird and then sweeping
them from one side to the other. Next she hoops with her legs rather quickly.
Notices that it will not work long any more and grabs it in an annoyed way. She
starts dancing with it on the song “summer time”. During this dance she
sometimes puts her face through the hula-hoop and imitates a lion roaring. She
makes a cartwheel with the hula-hoop for which she gets applause. She waves.
She jumps trough the hula-hoop in to the middle of the red carpet, lies down
like a diva and turns the hula-hoop with her hand already showing her intention
of shifting to the foot but not doing it yet. After this she turns it with her
left foot, corrects her dress because her underwear was shown. She jumps on her
ass to the other side of the carpet while still turning the hula-hoop with her
left foot. She also turns from back to belly and vice versa while turning. She
gets off the carpet sitting, stands up and shifts the hula-hoop from her foot
to her hand. Turns it with her hand. She walks round the carpet, she lets her
self drop, looks like having herself hurt and blaming the carpet. Lies down on
her back. Arms stretched having the hoop on her foot again. She pushes herself
on her hands up, with one foot on the ground, let’s say she makes some
acrobatic moves with it that are difficult to describe. Applauses. She makes a
gesture that says: cut it off then gets up the hula-hoop and throws it away.
Plays a little ‘I roar at you, you roar at me’ game with the audience. Gets out
of the red bag a whip. Turns it round above her head. Uses it normally some
times. Then there stands a man on stage, about two times as big as she is. She
approaches him with the whip, playing cool. Then shortly after she is falling
for him and in to his arms. First she tells him to copy her, then he copies her
in moments she doesn’t like it, then he copies her ‘how to be a lion’
correctly. She lets him be the lion sitting on his knees, he points out that
they are now about same height. She’s opening his mouth, looking at his teeth,
puts her face in to his mouth and asks applause for that (she gets a big laugh).
Then hands him over the whip and the hoop. Putting the hoop real high, now she
plays the lion, then a kitty, then a “never mind” gesture, then walks away from
the hoop, faces it as to make clear her intention to jump through. Makes some
warm up movements, running one time round the circle having the audience to
clap with her steps. She makes two cartwheels on her way to her goal. Then puts
way lower the hoop ‘without anyone to notice’ and jumps through. She asks
applause for both of them. She shakes his hand to thank him. Then she doesn’t
want to let go of his hand because she loves him so much, he tries to go
anyway. Then she lets go of his hand, crying very loud while pulling her
dress. Then waves him goodbye. Then she falls on her knees, gets on all fours,
and shakes her ass like a young dog. Gets up and walks toward her hula-hoop,
grabs it, grasps also her whip, then goes for grapping her carpet but doing
that makes a beautiful skirt out of it, looking face up, greeting the audience
like a queen. Ending.
